PROJECT STORY

Youth Development & Global Leadership

A youth-centered leadership track that equips emerging changemakers to organize, advocate, and serve through locally rooted civic action.

Overview

What this initiative advances

Youth Development & Global Leadership is Elizka’s practical pathway for raising a new generation of grounded African leaders. It connects civic learning, environmental responsibility, and institution-building so that young people can move from participation to trusted leadership.

The programme creates spaces for mentoring, governance exposure, public speaking, field immersion, and collaborative problem-solving. Rather than treating youth as beneficiaries alone, it positions them as strategic actors in restoration, advocacy, and community renewal.

How the work is delivered

  • Leadership and advocacy bootcamps for emerging changemakers.
  • Community service and stewardship projects that build public trust.
  • Intergenerational learning with institutional and traditional leaders.

Why it matters

When young people are equipped with purpose, structure, and responsibility, communities gain a durable leadership pipeline that can carry restoration work far beyond a single project cycle.
