Founder's Manifesto
"We aren't asking for a seat at the table anymore; we are building our own."
“I started the Elizka Relief Foundation because I saw that we were fighting for the future, but we were leaving the most powerful force in Ghana—our youth—outside the room.
We were winning on the global stage, but when I stepped onto the riverbanks in the Basins, or sat with the local aquaculture collectives, I saw a disconnect.
I didn’t start the Sankofa Stewardship Assembly to add another project to our portfolio. I started it because I’m tired of seeing Ghana’s brightest minds sidelined. I want to see our data scientists, our aquaculture experts, and our legal minds sitting across from the National House of Chiefs and the Ministry of Finance, not as interns, but as peers.
We have the hard data. We have the traditional blessing of the Stool. We have the global weight of Elizka’s accreditations. This Assembly is the permanent home for that energy. We aren’t asking for a seat at the table anymore; we are building our own.”"
